Week 1

In this week, we checked all of ideas that I did during the holiday and review the project all over again. I added some more details to give another level of perspective to the project. Such as satellites; I didn’t thought about satellites because the space seemed enough.

However, with the help of my friends we discussed that, space is too big to work because there is no limitations of it. Infinity is sometimes scary to work with because there is so many features to focus on. Therefore, choosing a more specific area on the space seemed like a good deal. This is the part where satellite idea came through. I chose satellites because, it is the only link between space and humanity. The connection for us to explore more about space. Humanity and technology works thanks to satellites , so it seemed like a good area to focus on in more depth rather than focusing all over the space which would be so confusing and overwhelming.

On the other hand, I am using the aesthetic of space to give an illusion of the spirals. That’s why I tried and combined bunch of spiral shapes to choose which one to work with on my jewelleries basis. The other reason why I draw so many spiral shapes are because of the energy going around the space, and the shape of it is spiral.

Through examining the structure and shapes in the space, I realized the importance of abstractionism. Almost everything is abstract in space, therefore it gives you infinite amount of imagination which is makes me think in depth of the concempt because there is no limitations.

Overall, this week allowed me to explore and learn enegitical, spiritual, and abstract shapes around the space. For me, everything is mesmerising about universe but with the help of the idea of satellites gave me more concrete imagination. Eventually, this week was helpful for me to plan out everything to start my project in a clear way. It helped me understand the importance of being organised, which will be useful in applying to work at the end of the term for creating my own designs, because otherwise I would be lost in the ideas.
