PPD class

Design 1:

I realised that the lack of creative side showing the space and the spirals that i wanted to show, so I improved the pages with some wires and gave them 3D looks with the shapes of energetic spirals. It was generally a effective session for me to see where i needed to improve myself. My research pages are much more developed at the end of the session considering to the beginning because I added bunch of wires connected to pages and the colour combinations are coop rate with each section pretty well. Sometimes, I struggle to see where it’s need to be developed, so I ask my friends some ideas for me to improve my overall skills. they gave me the best ideas because at the moment they know how my personal aesthetic works. If I need to compare this terms project and the shapes I’m working with to the previous term’s project; I stopped doing my signature style which was spikes all around. Overall, I’m trying and experiencing new aesthetics to see what I’m capable of doing and stopped repeating myself. We’ll see how that goes throughout the project.

Design 2:

Found about what my muse was gonna look like and giving it a characteristic look. My muse is not a real person, I wanted to give my personal aesthetic and the features I found mesmerising to look at, which is big eyes a lot of lashes boney features on the face, big cheeks and humongous lips. the link between my muse and the concept that `I choose is; the unusual features that not a lot of people are used to. for example, space is out of this world and even though there are a lot of informations about it we still don’t know what is behind. Thee is still so many things that we need to experience and learn about it because you basically cannot tell the exact things once you see it for the first time. Just like my muse. She is quite scary but mesmerising at the same time. There may be a lot of assumptions of her just by looking at her, but there are more of her rather than just being a muse. this is the link between my muse and the space itself. Expect the unexpected.

Sing 1:

Creating a site on mybolg was for my new project was wild because everything looks way more professional this way rather than just doing it on sketchbook. I really liked the way of layout on the site and the photos i choose for the cover of every section suit each other very well. To be honest, I was lost at first because everything seemed pretty complicated to me, but once I started working on the page one by one I realised it was way more simple than I thought. Overall, everything seems way more well done and professional when its done by digitally, and seeing myself able to show my project on a digital scale is something next level.

Design 3:

Found out what I’m going to work with for my 3D part of the project. I was thinking of working with some trash to represent the space itself, but deep down I knew that it was not going to be enough so, me and Giles though about working with resin to give it a more clear shapes to the jewellery. I had a vision in my mind but I never worked with resin before so it was my first time to work with chemicals. Honestly, it turned out great at the beginning, I’m currently still waiting for them to fully dry so that I can destroy the clear shape because nothing is perfect shape in the space, but the colours are perfect match with my research pages so I’m pretty glad that it turned out the way I wanted. My vision in my head are jewelleries that gives the same vibe with space stones that can be wearable. Also, the wires I’m adding to resins are gonna be the shape of spirals in the space. So everything is though in such detail.

Design 4:

Finished all of my research pages and started working on my 3D works with resin. Working with resin was so much fun to do because mixing the colours inside of the resin and gave them some structures that I wanted to give that represents the stones of meteor. I combined my resins with metallic wires so that I can connect those pieces together. I thought that it was gonna be hard to work with resin, however it was intensely the opposite. Resin was such an easy chemical to work with but it needs so much time to fully dry. Once its gonna get fully dry I’m going to destroy the perfect shape of it to represents the meteor structure. the amount of the resin was so little, so I think I’m going to work with some other materials to make the jewellery even more interesting. Overall, I’m still experiencing and trying new things to work on like space itself, but at the moment I’m fully happy with the outcomes so far.

Fiona 1:

In this session I worked even more on my research proposal to make some details even more clear, such as; my target customer and my competitors which is high quality because my own work comes from the space itself. Personally, I don’t see my brand as a competitive brand because, the designs that i made are one of a kind and really exclusive. I worth my design even more than the highest luxury brands therefore, I don’t see any competitors. On the other hand, the bibliography that I inspired for my project proposal is directly from the original source from NASA and various of it. This session made me think in more detail of my brand and helped me create my vision in my head even more clear.

Design 5:

All of my 3D work out of resin was ready to work with. They dried perfectly but in my vision I would like to destroy the shape of how they dried so that I can give the structure of meteor but the structure is too hard to break down so I need to change some of my directions to keep working. So, while I’m thinking of what to do with all of them, I started designing my jewelleries because I draw anything at first due to resin and ;how would they look like at the end. Once they dried fully, I started drawing some of the jewelleries that I would like to do with them. My first jewellery is a head pice like a crown but can use it as a choker as well, so its multi usable. Starr sketching my designs was so helpful foe me to see my vision more clearly. Overall, I’m so excited to see how everything will turns out.

Design 6:

In this session, I almost finished all of my drawings. I’m doing 6 designs to work with. They are still in progress but my vision is so majestic and they can be worn in different styles so I am not stressed about this project at all. However, sometimes I do feel stu k about my project and thus week was kind of harsh on me, but I still managed every step to continue to my work. The process of making the resin part was challenging because sometimes resin doesn’t even dry fully and the chemical of it was really hard to work with. In this project everything actually happens on the flow. Spontaneously. I’m not mad about it, but knowing everything that I want to do at the first place could’ve been nice.Ultimately, the project kind of controls me rather than I am controlling the project.

Sing 2:

I had so much fun working on 3D models online. I’m always mesmerised by how technology improved over the years. Also, seeing my abilities improving on working digitally makes me so proud of myself. Because, now I can follow the instructions without needing to see over and over what the tutor showed a second ago. After we completed the tasks, I tried some more stuff to see how much I can do with this site. Overall, it was really nice session for me to see there is no limitations on digital world. I am so pumped to work on this site even more.

Design 7:

In the first part of class, I paired up with two of my classmates to review each others projects, and they offered me some suggestions for improvement on the work I’ve done so far. Since my designs are missing, I need to add them, but I was feeling a little stuck on this issue. My goal was to do6 designs, but I only had 3, which made me a little stressed because we had very little time left. In fact, this peer review we did was so good for me and relieved me because I saw how they progressed in this project and shaped my plans accordingly. I changed my priorities according to the feedbacks I received from them and now I feel much more relaxed.

Design 8:

According to the feedbacks I received from the peer review, I continued my jewellery work, which is made of resin, but I felt something was missing. I continued my drawings just fine, adding more drawings than they said, and overlapping more on my sketchbook. At the beginning of the class, I was clueless and stuck, but after peer review, there was a revival in my ideas, so I felt like I was born again. I was very excited that my ideas came back more fully than ever before, while there was very little time left for the project delivery, because I felt really inadequate fir a moment. Sometimes my motivation may disappear, but when some exchanges of ideas are made, I realised that it is not really gone, I am just confused.

Sing 3:

The task given was much simpler and easier to do than expected. It was very difficult for me to draw the designs we made on this kind of digital paper at first, hut it was necessary not to lubricate the book by looking at its cover. I really enjoyed making it and I didn’t have ant difficulty in doing it, whereas the jewellery design I made consisted a lot of oval edges. At the beginning of the lesson, the task we had to do was shown only on clothes, so I couldn’t figure out how to make jewellery . However, after getting started and learning about a few topics, I realised that it was actually very simple, also I realised how much I enjoyed working digitally. It felt like meditation.

Design 9:

I could not attend this session due to some health problems I had, but I continued my work from home without interruption, and I realised that when I get used to myself at home, I overlap more quickly and practically because there is no person or anything to distract me so, I become more focused when I do that. In class, we would talk all the time with my friends and make up a lot of excuses to escape the work. Therefore, I would have fallen behind my plans and had an unproductive session. Plus, I didn’t have any material to present to my teachers because I usually spend my week on the website , and editing and organising this page took me longer than I expected. I decided to do the things I would do in the session at home and finished all my jewellery work and made the finals of everything. In this way, I will have the opportunity to stay relaxed for the last week and go over everything one last time in a stress-free way. In general, everything went according to my plans. There was nowhere where I felt stuck or stressed as this project continued. This session, I worked on my final touch-ups and completing my 3D works.

Sing 4:

The last one was our Adobe course and so far I feel really advanced and successful in technology. Until the last lesson of this yer, I learned a lot and improved myself and I am so proud of everything I did, big or small, because I said at the beginning of the year that I hated working on technology, but now it feels like therapy. In this last session, we checked the website for the last time and did what needed to be done. It was a very successful and easy session. I had my studies scanned and uploaded all of them on the site. I feel a load has been lifted off me, but I can easily see that I am feeling very strong throughout the year.

Design 10:

I couldn’t wake up for the last session of the year because I was trying to raise a part of the portfolio until the morning. This year has been really productive for me, I wish I could attended the last session, but since I am a perfectionist person, I edited the photoshoots photos of my3D works that I will put on my portfolio until the morning. At least the results were exactly as I wanted and dreamed of. Since I couldn’t catch the lesson, I completed everything in a timely manner without wasting time. I had a lot of fun preparing the final look of this portfolio because I was finally be able to hold the 3D versions of the project that I had sketched in my mind 6 weeks ago. It was really special and meaningful to me. I hope the results will be good too. I would like to thank all my teachers and colleagues for all the knowledge and talent they have given me this year.
